Description

Our NZSL courses aim to prepare learners for effective communication in professional and recreational settings.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Compare various jobs and work conditions, facilitating informed discussions about employment opportunities.

  • Describe personal qualities and skills required for different work roles, enhancing self-awareness and career planning.

  • Explain simple instructions for common work-related tasks, ensuring clarity in the workplace.

  • Demonstrate appropriate ways to interact with Deaf individuals in professional environments, fostering inclusive communication.

  • Talk about recreation, sports, hobbies, and interests, encouraging engagement in leisure activities.

  • Discuss, agree, and announce information about leisure activities, promoting collaboration and shared experiences.

  • Give simple instructions or rules for an activity or game, enhancing group participation and enjoyment.

  • Explain goals for future activities and skills, including wishlist items and reasons for their importance, to encourage personal growth and motivation.
